How do I get paid for exams?

You will receive payments through three primary methods as a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) with FAA Scheduler. Depending upon your settings and how the pilot selects to pay:

Full payment in advance: (As currently Published)

Reservation fee only: (As currently published)

Payment on the day of Many examiners currently have a cash-only policy, and we want to make sure you are covered and can continue to do business as always.

Absolutely! We are here to help make the scheduling process easy for you and your valued applicants. The pricing you have designated for each test will always be at your discretion.
Our platform is here to help you streamline your reservation process and lower your cancellation rates through a simple monthly subscription of $50. We have worked hard to minimize the impact of additional charges on our customers. However, if you do select to collect electronic fees through our lowest-cost credit processor, Stripe, you will be subject to their processing fee of 3%
Whether you are a Google or an Apple person, we have you covered. There is never a need to constantly refer back to our page for your updated schedule or to adjust your availability. Integrate your calendar and get updates on new and existing reservations directly on your phone.
We know the demand for Pilot examiners has continually grown between your responsibilities personally, work, and exam schedules. Sometimes, you can't know your schedule months or even weeks out. To face this challenge, we have integrated a waitlist; this unique feature allows applicants to reserve their space in line with priority email and text notifications as soon as they find availability within their demanding schedule without the need to reach out to each applicant individually.
Over the last several years, we have worked with other FAA designees to combat the overwhelming need to reduce cancellations. We have discovered many techniques, such as deposit collection and applicant information gathering early in the process, along with automated reminders to applicants, keeping them committed and aware of the big day.
